The Voice of the Queer Mystic with Jennifer Espinoza

Join us as we engage with the poetry of Emily Dickinson in this generative workshop!

In this class, we'll read through the poet Emily Dickinson's words in order to explore ways in which we, too, might partake in mystical creative practices. We will be spending our time writing poems in response to Emily Dickinson, allowing her spirit to guide our voices as we explore our creative depths. This is the final class in our new MFA course, "Writing Consciousness: A Queer Study of Emily Dickinson." You will be joining MIU's MFA students in their virtual classroom. Welcome!

Joshua Jennifer Espinoza is a trans woman poet. Her work has been featured in Poetry, Denver Quarterly, American Poetry Review, Poem-a-Day, Lambda Literary, PEN America, The Offing, and elsewhere.
