Coming Soon from The Soul Ajar: The Artist’s Way Group Online
“I would take this course once a year for the rest of my life! It’s been nothing but perfect for my creative expression. I have created a life-long habit of being creative by taking this course.”
Always wanted to work through The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron but never got around to it?
Everyone has the book lying around, but it’s much easier to work through it in a supportive community of writers instead of alone. Every semester (Fall and Spring) we’ll host a The Artist’s Way Group online with 13 weekly Zoom sessions and a Facebook group for discussions and support. This course is taught by Nynke Passi together with MFA students. It includes additional support materials and links and puts you in touch with a community of fellow poets and writers. Please see the testimonials below.
Cost: $150 for the entire course

"I also wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for creating a safe space to explore our relationship with creativity. I enjoyed it thoroughly and find that I got exactly what I was looking for. You are a very special soul, and I am so fortunate to have been guided by you in this journey." --D. R.
"I have grown tremendously during this course, and I am so grateful. I have gained the ability to push through 'the censor' talk and just go at it, whatever it is. I can feel comfortable creating without criticizing my work before it’s even begun. I have learned not to discredit my accomplishments but celebrate them, all of them, and really allow myself to be proud of what I have, can and will do. In some strange way, this course has allowed me to feel genuine respect, love, and appreciation for people again. There is absolutely nothing I would change about this course. It is so divinely led and inspired that I couldn’t ask for a more perfected experience." --A. S.

"I experienced an incredible transformation during this course in terms of how I approach my creativity. I used to approach creativity with a very self-destructive mentality. I used to think that I would have to stimulate my body or find something damaging about my surroundings in order to paint, write, draw, dance, play music, etc. I’m now finding that I can effectively engage my creative side by engaging it in a free way, not expecting too much out of myself and not allowing my critical voice to discourage my new ideas or creative stamina. I found my Aha moments in the form of spontaneous found objects and realized that I can now turn what others might see as junk into something visually stunning. I find a lot of freedom and upliftment in that notion. I most enjoyed letting go and letting my projects form themselves instead of the projects forming me. I most hated when my critical voice tried to interrupt my most creative moments. What was most magical was seeing my project well on its way to being finished and the creative support I felt throughout this class." --A. A. D.
“I love the collection of prompts that Nynke has gathered in this course. It surpasses the ones available in The Artist’s Way. We were given this precious opportunity to pause and make community with others while listening to our inner creator. I can honestly say I have made a conscious effort to remove from my life anything that negatively impacts my writing, or my creative process in general. I can attribute this practice of courage and self-care directly to The Artist’s Way, and as an extension of that, Nynke’s classes. I only wish I knew about this kind of open channel inside me twenty years ago.”
"I had an amazing time during this class. This class was a blessing. The whole class was a journey that I am not ready to stop being on, nor will I stop. I have taken so much from the class that I am just scratching the surface. Thank you so much for being the teacher you are. I had been ignoring my creativity for the past couple of years and had almost surrendered to the fact that I had lost something, something no longer available without struggle or exhausting efforts. I will continue my growth in confidence now that I have this knowledge. This will be a class I never forget, a class I will forever say transformed my life. Thank you!" --C. O.
