During our Fall ‘22 Soul Bone Festival, we will again host a reading of We Are Mean to Rise: Voices of Justice from Minneapolis to the World, edited by Carolyn Holbrook and David Mura. We think it’s one of the most important anthologies of this time, and we want to amplify the amazing voices included in its pages as much as we can. Our last reading from the book included Anika Fajardo, Ezekiel Joubert III, Mona Susan Powers, and Mary Moore Easter. It was an unforgettable evening.
